    Hey Guys.
I'm new on this site and new to the honda world as well iam picking up my first car which is a honda this weekend. I would like to ask you Guys and Gurls what i could start on first for performance. I would appreciate it if you guys could suggest any parts that would fit my needs for a bigginer. I work at an Advanced auto parts, and i can get some nice things with a discount. So if you Guy and or Gurls could suggest some things to increase HP and agility in the vehicle (sorry forgot the other word for a car's agility). thanks a lot!

    sincerely:IAN

Honestly, i'd tune it up first. Buy a whole load of stuff from your work ( you lucky bastard wink ) a list of things to get would be...

Oil and filter if you havn't done so
    PVC valve
    Fuel filter
    Plugs (NGK's baby)
a bottle of fuel injector cleaner
if the wires look orginal, get them too
    distrubtor cap and rotor
    coolant flush
if you wanna get crazy change brake fluids

Side note: if you get wires, now would be a good time to get performance ones, and if you get brake fluid, if you wanna get crazy you can up that from DOT 3 to DOT 4 if you flush the brake system.

I know none of that was performance related, but when i got my civic those were some of the first things done. Did it seem to run better afterwards? Oh hell yes, and its way more reliable and it runs better. Once your sure your civic is healthy and happy, then we can talk more hehe wink Good luck!

The first engine mod I would do would be a cold air intake. Easy to install and has some decent gains. Aem makes a nice cold air intake. Welcome to the board...

I just got a used Honda also, and from what advice ppl are telling me ...
Is to basically do the basic maintaince checks like the earlier post and then if decide on if you want to mod the engine you got or do a swap...

I think if you got a good engine in there, you might as well just do engine mods unless you got the cash and want to do a engine swap...but thats all up to you...

    Wink

Like what Habib said the first thing to do is to make sure that your car is healthy. Then I would do the intake, header and exhaust system. Aem and Gressy make some good intake and Tenzo and OBX got really nice exhaust. One more thing.. WELCOME!! You'll love your Honda I am sure..
